Default 2001 Polaris Sportsman w/ winch and plow

I found this a 2001 Sportsman 500 HO locally on craigslist, it has 2,432 miles on it. The guy is asking 2,650 for it. Is that a good deal? I tried to get him down to 2,200, but he said the lowest he would come is 2,500!

Default 2001 Polaris

I'd go check the retail value at kelly bluebook on line, that's what I did before buying mine.
I just bought a 2001 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4 with plow, winch, hitch, and 2 place trailer (with a spare tire lol) for $2,800. My house has been filthy since of course but wow, what a fun toy that thing is!!
You can find a used trailer for under $500 so I think yes, you'd be getting a good deal.
Wave cash under his face and see if he won't come down to your price. ;-)
Good luck!!

Yea...what he said. definantaly check kelly bb. Does he have any maintenance records? You'd hate to spend hard earned cash to find out that 2400+ miles is on factory new oil from 2001 !!!

I was always against financing, but with a Atv you take a huge risk buying something that used. If you have that much cash I would go pick up a new leftover somewhere. You could probably find a 07 or 08 500cc model for $5k-$6k. Put your $2400 down and you would have pretty small payment for a bit. Well worth it to have a new machine in my opinion.
