Unhappy 2000 Sportsman losing power

My 2000 Sportsman 500 recently began running terribly. When I start it, it will idle fine, but as soon as I give it any gas, it bogs down and occasionally backfires. The carb has the same sound as when you are trying to start it with the throttle wide open. I opened the air box and looked around. The carb is a Mikuni. I ran some carb cleaner through it, but no help. Anyone got any suggestions on what the problem might be.
Thanks

Default 2000 Sportsman running poorly

Thanks, Chuck. Is the dealer the best place to get a carb kit?
