what are clutch buttons?

whats the real name or whatever and how much are they...
also how many do i need... my quad is in the shop and i thought it was the top end but it wasnt... my clutch is knocking and someone said it is the clutch buttons... how many do i need?

6 clutch buttons ride in the spyder of the front clutch. As they wear down and if not replaced quick enough, damage to the areas they slide up and down on can happen,usually grooves are cut into the metal and its the slack from the worn buttons and glide area that makes the noise! Can sound like a rod going out or can sound like a diesel truck! Unless you have the spyder removal tool,best to let the shop do it if the clutch is able to be saved. I have had a few that went a little too far and sometimes the spyder and clutch are too worn to properly repair. Hope buttons are all you need! OPT

They must be planning on replacing more than the buttons for that kind of money!! OR i'm not charging enough myself!
