Default DS-650 TACHOMETER Not working right

Just picked a 07 DS650 and the TAC is not working or it’s not working properly. Pined in 5 gear only showing 4000RPM’s and turned off it’s showing 1000RPM’s. Anyone know the fix aside from purchasing a new one.

Chances are the tach is still good but has a bad ground. Check to make sure the unit is properly grounded.

Follow the wires. If memory serves me they come off the tach and plug into the harness not far from the tach. You should find where the black wires attach to the frame. Or take the black wire and reground it. Those factory tachs seem to always have weird affects lol.
