2007 Sportsman 500 EFI
#1
I have read some other posts and would appreciate it if you refrain from telling me my "EFI" is junk. I am just looking for some knowledge. If you don't know, you don't have to respond.
I have a 2007 Sportsman 500 EFI and am having problems with it not running right at mid throttle. It idles fine and it will pick the front wheels off the ground when I mash it, but I can not just give it partial throttle. I was told that it may be TPS and was told that it can be tested with a meter, but I don't have a service manual. Does anyone know the prosedure for testing the TPS on my bike?
I appreciate any response that addresses this issue.

Just got off the bike again. It ran fine for 20 minuets around the farm. I stopped to talk to my neighbor and after sitting for 5 min, it started acting up again. The bike only has 56 hrs on it, and the air filter is clean. I may pull the plug next (once the rain passes) and check it. I believe I have an extra one so I'll replace it first. If that doesn't work, I think that it's something electrical. I'm wondering if it's a heat sensor or something. I hate to start throwing parts at it though. This is driving me nuts
Thanks for the input.

Thanks for all the help!! The problem was the MAP sensor cable. The cable protector has wore through the two outer wires. While trouble shooting, I unplugged it and plugged it back in and since messing with it, the computer now throws the code. I am going to get a new cable and replace it first, if that doesn't fix it, I'll order the sensor.
Again, thanks for all the help!!
