Default Power steering conversion

I have an older 1998 sportsman 500 and due to sholder problems I'm thinking about adding the power steering conversion kit. Has anyone put one of these on or had any problems? I know it's an old scooter but the motor has been rebuitl and the bike is in excelent shape. I am also over 60 so I don't hot rod.

I heard that they won't work on the single cylinder machines because of clearence issues with the oil tank.

I'm unfamiliar with this conversion. Who offers it? Will it work on an '04 700?

Check out my thread I created about 2 weeks ago on this very subject:

http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...portsmans.html

but ATVPOWERSTEERING.COM seems to be a place to get one. I knew I saw it in the back of one of my mags one time several months ago but some people challenged me on here that it was just for the UTV's not ATV's well by this web site seems like they now have them for our Sportsmans. I am very curious too about these units and will accept any accurate info. about them.

My refs:

Polaris Sportsman Electric Power Steering - $1,250.00 : Sportsman Gear, Polaris Sportsman Performance Parts & Accessories

ATR Polaris Sportsman Power Steering System - $1,250.00 : ATV Power Steering, Performance All Terrain Vehicle Steering Components

Regards,

R'

RtickWad that is the same one I was looking at. If they work it will be great for an old war horse like me.
