Default Kazuma mini falcon 90cc probs and questions

Brand new Kazuma, new oil, new sparkplug, valves not adjusted, carb adjusted but not sure if its correct.

Symptoms: It starts fine, it idles without probs, sometimes it dies when my son pushes the throttle. Sometimes, when kid is driving it around, it sounds as engine "spits" or "coughs".
What could be the cause of this?

question 2...Some quads have hole with hose through fueltank cap. my dont. Is this important for the flow?

question 3...There is fuel filter installed. Is it normal if "chamber" is half fielled with fuel?

question 4...Fueltank has a crane with 3 positions on it, closed, opened and reserve. I usually set it somewhere between opened and reserve. Is this correct or is there a risk of adding too much fuel to the carb?

regards

Welcome to the forum memake!

Symptoms...Id guess its jetted real lean from the factory..

2) There doesnt need to be a hose, but the cap needs to be vented in some way...

3) Yes.

4) Usually reserve and on are at different ends of the petcock travel but to answer your question...no you can not add to much fuel with the position of the petcock.

i just discovered that kids quad is running much better with gas cap loosened. It doesent cut off if i snap the throttle. I adjusted A/F screw to two full turns out. I can even see that fuel filter is almost completly filled with gas.

Now only thing that is bothering me is when kid starts hiting the gas. At mid range power and full power you can hear spitting and popping. Should i adjust A/F screw again?

1st make sure the gas cap is vented before you go too far into things. Can be common on some of these MIC atvs with having a gas cap with no vent in it.... doesn't work very well!

When making carb adjustments make sure the engine is warm. As when you first start them up when cold they will sputter a bit when you hit the throttle.
