this topic im sure has been exhausted on these forums, but im gonna ask it one more time, whats the fastest factory sport atv on the market today, i mean any brand or style of sport atv. im only intrested in the late models, lets say 95 and up...

Wow that's a really broad question, the old two strokers are very quick, but IMO the new 4 stroke reliability and technology are priceless IMO

I have a buddy with a 450R, and another has a KTM 525, and they are both totally amazing, but I would have to say the KTM is probably faster, but I haven't seen a drag race between them, and also the KTM comes with much better tires and shocks from the factory

 

I'm gonna hafta say the Outlaw 525 KTM...i have an Outlaw 500 and i've raced against a few of the new 450's and i've beat 'em all.

 

What about the 700 Raptor?.......Caper........Don't know but sounds fast?

Well, from 95 to 2000 the fastest was the banshee. It was the only choice for high performance back then. Then I would say the DS650 took the crown till the 450's exploded on the market. Now I would have to say the Honda 700. Followed by the original YFZ and the Honda 450r. The other 450's are slower because they are geared for the track.

 

i just talked to a guy on another forum, and he said he was obsessed with finding the top speed on his 700xx, he used gps because of its accuracy. he said the best he could do on flat pavement and perfect conditions was 71.1mph, im sure a stock raptor and outlaw will top that...

 

Well then your buddies ride is slower than the ones they tested in the mags and the one that I have seen. I saw one hit 74 bone stock.

Stock 450s beat the Raptor.

 

i dont trust the mags at all
