Default 2007 Arctic Cat 400 Winch Mount Question

It is to my knowledge that the newer Arctic Cats don't require a model specific winch mount package when buying a winch and a winch can be installed directly onto the machine from the factory. I plan to buy a winch in the near future so if you know the answer please help me out. Thanks.

You are correct. From '06 and up I believe.

The stock front bumper has mounting holes for the winch and the fairlead. The ONLY problem I had w/my GORILLA was that the mounting bolts were too long. So I "added" a spacing & lock washer(s)...NP.

The Warn 3000 winch kit I installed on my 650 was so easy to do I almost couldn't believe it. Running the wires was the only mildly complicated issue, and the winch control integrated right into the factory handlebar thumb controls.

My 07 400 auto FIS was simple bolt on issue with the stock bumper. I installed a AC front brush guard after. The winch mount didn't move just had to put the fairlead outside the brush guard. I purchased a Warn AC 3000lb winch. As long as the spaces between the holes are correct in the frame of the quad it should fit without need for adapter plates.

Happy ATVing
