Looks good to me. I wonder why they didn't make an 850 X2 and why there is no power steering offered.

I thinks' something in a Limited Edition may be in the works.......or heck, we got to wait another year. I am waiting for such an animal.........X2 850 EPS. If the X2 550 came with EPS, I would have ordered it already.....the 550 is probably good enough for me but an 850 with EPS would have cut the cake.

Yep...looks good..too bad they back pedaled on the color options. Along the lines of what NoJoke said...an EPS 850 XP X2 would have made my choice alot harder this year...instead Polaris made it easy for me so I ordered a Can-AM Outlander 800 MAX XT.

How come you went to Can-am after having an 850? I have an 07 800 and was considering 800R. Please let us know what you think.

Thanks

Well I guess I should have been more careful...not trying to get the thread off topic..mainly for the versatility. I needed a 2 up machine when I bought the XP,in the mean time I made do with a seat box...but I had the XP bug,and it is a great machine..I just figured an X2 would follow come this year(I kept saying it wouldn't..to ensure that it would, lol) and I would move to that and have the 2up I need.
Well when they didn't come out with a XP X2 and the Touring looked thrown together and less versatile than ever I started looking around for a 2up and the new Can-Am Maxs were the logical choice. After owning an XP the 800 X2 wasn't a choice(sorry 800 owners..I used to be one...)
The Max XT has power steering, are easily converted back to a single seat...have usable rear rack space(even with the seat installed) and pretty abundant rear storage..not trying to sound like a Can-Am salesman in the Polaris forums..but since you did ask..lol
Yest the XP has clear advantages...frame strength, better ride ect..but if to me,looking at 2ups the Can-Am was the clear winner..each to there own..I am not brand biased..I ty to buy what I think will suit ME best.

Looks good in black. Sure wish someone would make an aftermarket wheel like that for the XP's. It would be nice to have black aluminum wheels, but not be as wide as a side by side.

Maybe by 2011 MY, a 850 X2 will be available and the aftermarket will catch up. Not sure if I would want that for a trail riding machine. The longer the wheelbase, the easier it is to get stuck in the snow. Would be great for hunting though!
