Hi I have a friend with a 2004 Polaris sportsman 700 foresail for $2000 because it has a problem with the engine. It is making riddling noises and burning oil what could be the probe and is it worth it to buy it and fix it up. What is the most common problem that this might be? The unit has a bought 3250 km on it. Thanks for your time

 

It sounds like you might spend another $2k to diagnose and fix it. Save your money and buy a quality used one or spend some more on a 550.
