I own a 1995 Yamaha Blaster and I have no idea why it wont start. I will start with the things that I do know. The spark plug is fine, its a brand new one. The reeds are not cracked. The spark plug has plenty of spark. It has compression. When I try to start it nothing really happens. When I drift start, it sometimes backfires and stalls, but it does try to start. Do you think it is struggling for gas or do you think it is something else. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.....thanks

Here are some pics of my Blaster

I dont know, at first I thought it sounded like the reeds but guess its not that? You say there is spark, compression, gas, what is missing? air, sounds like its getting way too much gas and flooding out? then when it fires, bang and it stalls?... I really do not know, Ive never seen a blaster backfire lol!... try this, look for the air adjust screw on the left side of the carb sitting on the wheeler its a flat head screw, keep a flat head screwdriver handy, take the airbox cover off, take the spark plug out, get a small piece of hose like gas line and dip it in your gas tank put your finger over the end and make sure you get around a half inch to inch of gas in the gas line and put it down inside the cylinder, put the plug back in, get your screwdriver ready, kick it over it will start if it starts to stall turn the air screw to the left be very careful cuz it takes a couple seconds for it to catch up and you dont want to over revv it, that should help, if that does not work I dont have a clue... it has to be something simple.
