GR8 day riding-minimal damage!

Spent yesterday riding the trails by Nickerson, MN trying to keep up with my crazy bro on his tricked out Raptor. Two of the mudholes we found were not passable. Buried up to the racks a number of times. Lots of winching and I mangaged to lose a center cap on one of my ITP SS rims. Luckily, that was the only mishap of the day. Going to have to find one this week. It was well worth the three hours I spent cleaning my popo after! Met a lot of cool folks. Not my favorite type of riding but the popo did really well. Lot of really fun trails for any of you who make it up this way!

Usually not much for mud up there unless you go south on the snowmobile trail, but it's not a legal trail. I think it's great up there in the winter because it gives a challenge. As you probably noticed, those trails are better suited for a sport quad in the summer. It's normally real dusty and a ton of sand that slows you down.
We should have a group ride from the forums here, and go up there after hunting sometime.

Sounds fun. I went out yesterday with my son and a couple buddies. Almost got stuck. I had to do the jump on one side while sawing the wheels back and forth trick. Got soaked, covered in mud, but out of the hole. One of my buddies has a sport quad and he got stuck in one and asked my son to push him from behind with the ATP. Got him out at the cost of a rear light lens. Fun, fun, fun.

Roofer-it was really dusty! Had to compromise so my bro could ride on his Raptor. At least there was a few nice mud holes. I keep trying to get him to ride north of Duluth where I go cuz there's a lot more mud. He likes racing around but I've seen that kid ride through some crap that other 4x4 quads would get stuck in and he can break trail through the woods pretty good.
It would be cool to try and get some of the forum folks together for a ride sometime.

We've done it before. There was over 60 riders one time. Too big of a group if you ask me, but it was still fun. Most of it started over the winter with people bragging up their rides. It was surprising they actually showed. Most talk the talk, but never show up. It's amazing how nice people get when you meet them face to face.
