No Brainer - Get the Eiger.

The Fourtrax was a good bike for it's time but it was replaced bythe Rancher 350 long ago. The Rancher 350 and the Eiger are in the same class, but the Eiger will outperform it in most areas.

Both the Fourtrax and the Eiger are solid and reliable bikes but it's no contest to compare ATV's that differ by eight years worth of technology and improvements. $2K for a 2004 Eiger is a good price. $2K for a fourteen year old Fourtrax is too much.

i agree with the above. given that both machines are in good shape all around, for the price i would go with the eiger. i love honda atv's and swear by them, but you have to be realistic as well, and the eiger offers much more for the price in this situation.
