Default Which plow for 05 500ho?

I want to get a plow for my 05 500ho. What size should I get? Also what brand is best? I have heard some have weak plow brackets I will also be getting a winch for it.

I've had my 60" Glacier I for almost five years and it has never let me down. Plow a lot with it up here in Northern MN.

I agree. I also have the 60" Glacier plow, and it works excellent. I did, however, wear through a set of the blade skid pads in one season of plowing on gravel.

I bent Glacier 2 plow mount, but it was hard enough hit to bend my brush guard too! Just caught the edge of where I don't plow after a blizzard next day, stopped dead with all the weight of the machine pivoting around the plow edge. Reinforced it since. They do seem pretty flimsy for what they are meant for. After I bent it, I almost bent it back completely straight by hand if that says something. Also I've heard people change out the front main mounting bolts for some better ones. I can understand this since, since the hit, the plow mount slides up and down no matter how hard I tighten those bolts.

Wish I went with 60", have the 52" myself.

Default power

What about power pushing the 60 in model with my 500.

I see you have a 800 how will the little 500 ho stand up to the 60 incher

Power with the 500 will not be an issue pushing the 60" plow. You will definitely run out of traction before running out of power.
