Default Need help fast 04.5 600 overcharging

When I was on my last ride I noticed my battery light flashing so I checked the charging and it is charging at 16 volts whaere it is supposed to be around 14 volts. So today I installed a new voltage regulator and it is still overcharging. I ahve ohmed all the wires from the stator to the voltage regulatior and they are fine. Does anyone else have an idea as to what is wrong. I have a BIG atv trip next weekend and can't gop like this. Thanks

If you changed the regulator, it must be the stator... there are no other electronics that control the charging feature's.
