Default Minimal tire spin in mud

I go through thick mud and get stuck, so i backed up a bit to take another run at it...put it in 4WD in high gear and pinned it but the tires don't seem to spin like i was used to on my Sportsman 700, is this normal for AC?

If your tire/wheel size is the stockers you might need to either use low range , or possible that a clutch mod would help i own a 2006 AC 400 FIS auto 4x4 and everything is still in stock form on my AC ; also i'm the original owner but i still haven't gotten to really give it a good test in the creek bottoms and swampy areas that i use to ride alot with my former atv's 86' Honda TRX350FM Foreman 4x4 and the 93' Suzuki LT4WD 300 KQ !

I actually got stuck more often with the KQ in the swamps than i did with the Foreman ( both these quads were manual shift geared tranny's ) because the Foreman had a wider wheel base , this is all i can think of for now hope it's of some help to you !
