2002 sportsaman 600 twin problems
#1
This bike has been a pain in the #%$& since I bought it . Anyway , I had the over heating problem with the fan not wanting to stay on in the beginning . Got tired of taking it back to the shop that I bought it from and just bypassed the fan to ignition power . Then one day it decided not to start . I took it to a local guy who fixes motorcycles and it ended up being the coil . He fixed it and it ran for about a year . Now it wont start again and he says he will not work on Polaris bikes anymore because of their poor customer service and the fact they will not sell him parts . So Where do I get a coil for this thing that wont cost me an arm and leg ????

Ducati stators and coil packs were bad about going out on the early model 600-700 twins. Replacement Kokusan kits include stator, flywheel, individual coil and cdi. Not cheap, about $400. But if you plan on keeping the machine, well worth it, Kokusan is one of the best systems on the market. Some of our Ktm's come with this system. OPT

I don't know what the original one was but the one on it now is a ducati . I don't really know what the best coarse is to take . What is the best solution other than buying a new bike ?? Is this going to be a repeating problem no matter what I do ? Where do I get a kokusan and can i just replace the coil ??

Ok, two more questions and I'm not trying to be a smart ***, just to be clear . When you say supersede do you mean the number will be the one in numerical order before the number on the kukusan kit ?? Or do you mean coincide with it as in it has the same number ??? Also will the dealer have this kit ?? Where do I get it ?? Thanks a bunch for your help man .. Mike
