chinese 250cc. was starting and running, worked on the muffler and now it won't start. found a pinched wire and fixed that, but still no fan, no lights, no clicking, no spark, no nothing. following the troubleshooting guides looking first for the cdi, but can't fine it. i think it is one of these two:

near the battery is a round/cylinder solenoid with 30 amp fuse and 3 wires coming out the top and a 4 plug black box. jumping across the solenoid the starter engages.

in the middle of the atv, near the engine i have another black box with 7 wires coming from it. those wires are bundled in 3 groups. 2 have 2 wires and the third has 3 wires.

all the black boxes have JT0308 printed on them.

are either of these the cdi? which one and brand? thanks.

 

I would think the middle pic is the CDI...havnt seen one like that but the other pics arent of a CDI
