Default 2006 Honda TRX 250 leaking fuel at the switch

Hi All,

I cleaned my jets and it is now idling very well, thanks for the tips.

My new issue is that the fuel is leaking pretty significantly at the fuel switch, seems to leak more at off, but also on RES or ON. Not sure what to do about this. Hopefully I don't have to replace the whole tank as it seems built-in.

Any advise on where to start?

Thanks!

Your packings are shot, or the o ring that seals it to the tank is shot. You could try cleaning it and check the o ring.

Is there a DIY guide somewhere that could show me how to do this?

Get a service manual!

I would pull that tank off, and that would comfirm if the leak is at the valve or below it (like just a cracked line). I have not had to mess with this model, but usually the valve comes off easily, and you can then see if it is the valve itslef or the seals. Should be able to go to the dealer and replace whatever the problem is without to much expense.
