Default 2010 Rancher

I read somewhere that Honda has redesigned the seat and the racks on the 2010 Rancher.
Anybody have any details on this. If the seat is more comfy and the racks are more useable, will they retro fit to the '07 Rancher?

And, preload adjustable suspension. Might as well go all out!

I would doubt that they would redoo the frame just for a slightly different rack or a seat with a bit more foam. I would just go to the dealer and get a guarantee from them to take the parts back if they don't fit, before you order. Can't however imagine that these "improvements" would be worth the cost of the upgrades....

Yes too on the shocks......great improvement.

The seat upgrade (if softer) would absolutly be worth the money. And for the racks....well the front rack is not deep enough for most **** or boxes, they rub on the plastic cowling, and the rear rack needs another bar to keep things from rubbing on the battery compartment lid. And it would be nice if they had a nonslick finish. (Have been toying with the idea of have an additional bar added to my rack and also getting them coated with bed liner spray.

I think all the pic of the Rancher; Honda is still showing, is of the '09. Can't seem to find any for the '10. If those are pics of the '10, I can't see any difference in the rack design.

Safest bet is to find a dealer that has 2010's in and go take a look. I agree, that from the pictures you can't see anything dramatic.

just compared the 09's to the 10's on the floor. the seats seem identical, same feel whether sitting on them or just squeezing them. the racks have corner bracings welded to them on the 10's. and yes the adjustable shocks were lonnnnngg overdue

Thanks Colt

Guess the improvements (except for the shocks) where pretty minimal.

Guess I will go ahead with my original plan for my racks and maybe do my own upholstery job on my seat. Thinking maybe memorie foam for the seat!

Thanks TLC for the larger pic

Yea, if you look hard enough, I can now see the corner bars.......not a bad idea.

Still think a rougher finish (bed liner spray) would really help.

I would definitely get the racks sprayed. I had my Rubicon racks sprayed with Line-X bedliner and it was worth every penny. It costs about 50 bucks for both racks and the front bumper.

If I ever get a different machine, that is the first thing I will do to it.

I have pics if you want to see them.
