Default Question about Honda CR250 and CR500 2-Stroke engines

This is probably a stupid question and I think I already know the answer, but i'm going to ask it anyway. Does anyone know if the engine mounting points on the engine are relatively the same between the CR250 and the CR500 engines? I know that on both engines they use three mounting points. All help will be appreciatted.

If you are attempting to put the 500 motor in a 250 frame then there will be a little work. The rear mount works out as well as the bottom. The major problem you are going to have is the exhaust flange hitting the Y in the downtube. You will have to modify this for it to work or you can't get the flange on.
Hope this helps.........

This does help, but I was thinking about putting a 500 2-stroke into a 400EX frame. Service Honda offers a kit to put a 250 2-stroke into a 400EX frame so i was thinking maybe I could take those engine mounts in that kit, since i don't have any metal working equipment, and mount up a 500 2-stroke to the 400EX frame if the engine will physically fit into the frame. If you have any information on this it will be greatly appreciated.
