Default SP 600 Quits after Warming Up

What would cause my SP 600 to quit once it gets warm, I can let it idle for 15 min. and it quits or I can ride it for about 5 min. and it quits. It backfires and sputters when I try to restart it. After it sets for awhile, it will restart just fine.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

"Generally" speaking --- heat related failures like yours are ignition related -- as in bad/weak coil or ECU. It's probably NOT fuel since it will run 15 minutes before dying.

Test to see if your tank vent is plugged. Just open the gas cap a few turns and let it idle. May not be your problem but would cause it to die like that and easy to check.

My buddy had a 600 that did the same thing after about 20 minutes of riding. Once it happen it would keep happening until the machine completely cooled off. After a lot of searching he found that the wires were bad right at the stator. He was able to soder them and problem was fixed.
