The float in the carb need adjusting as it is causing it to flood!

I would suggest cleaning the carb first before you begin adjusting things. Especially if it was running fine.

If you pulled the plug and checked its color it will tell you what is happening. Black indicates you are running rich (too much fuel) white-ish colr too lean (not enough fuel). In both cases you usually find it is casued by a plugged jet inthe carb or a very dirty air filter.

So start by cleaning the filter and the carb. Then if you are very positive it is clean start adjusting things.

Cleaning will be a good start tho I bet the float will still need adjusting. Try using some sea foam for starters and see if that helps any!

You might have a touch of bad gas also. I had this happen to a Honda Recon and I could get it to start and as soon as I give it some gas it died. Raplaced the fuel and added Seafoam and now runs normal again.
