i have a 1986 trailboss i payed nothing for it but i got it not running i tryed to start it and would not start but found that if i flip the ignition switch on and off really fast it would spark once as i turned it overand wouldnt spark again.what may it be.

 

welcome. check all connetions and for bad grounds. make sure theres good rust and corrsion free connections. imo

 

there is no rust or corrsion on any of the connections i checked for that

 

Probably stator, if you can get a service manual it will tell you how to test the electronics, stator,pulse coil ect.

I got a manual and tested the pickups and the cdi i found that one of the parts i may need to replace is nolonger avalible.what can i do if that is the problem?
