Loncin 150cc wont run with cold weather .

Its winter in here and it doesnt seem to do good for my quad, it's quite hard to start it when its below 0C but some starting fluid will do the trick . After i get the engine going, i can only ride about 2-3km and then it just bogs down and wont react to throttle, after a minute or two sitting, itll start up and i can take it for a little spin before it happens again , one day i can drive it without any problems but the other day, it just bogs down. It seems like the carb freezes up but it feels warm when touched . Got the carb cleaned and adjusted, cleaned the air filter and changed the spark plug . I forgot to check the oil level and i drove around pretty much without any oil in the engine, filled it today and the engine ran smoother but couldve this damage the bearings and once the engine gets hot jam them ? Anyone had a similar problem ? Ps. the cylinder is pretty much done, itll get a new cylinder kit soon but i dont think it has something to do with my problem atm .

You must have had some oil in there or the engine would have cratered. Drain it again and see what's in the oil (just don't forget to fill it back up
). Will it run if you feather the choke? I'm guessing you've got a jetting issue with the carb. Another cleaning might be in order.

Sounds like you're running out of fuel. If the fuel line or filter is mostly plugged up, and the carburetor uses fuel faster than it can trickle in from the tank, then you will eventually stall and have to wait for the float bowl to slowly fill back up. Then the cycle repeats.
Pull off the fuel line going into the carburetor and see that the fuel will flow out freely.
My 150cc quad did this when it was brand new. My symptoms were *exactly* the same as yours. In my case I had a defective fuel shutoff valve that was plugged up with extra plastic from the molding process when it was made. I drilled it out - it has been fine since.
