Reliability is very good on both, A.C. with independent rear suspension rides better & pulls better. Honda has better accessories availability. Front end lighter on A.C. Many more honda dealers if you ride out of your home area. Good luck with your choise.

Reliability may go to the Honda, fit & finish is better Honda, power would be equal unless your talkin 350 Honda, but it has little else going for it. Cat has MUCH better suspention, Much better tires, 3 range sub tranny, 2wd, 3wd & TRUE 4wd if you want, OH did I mention MUCH better brakes

ATV_MAN,
Hey I was in your shoes a little while ago. I was looking at a new quad and the AC 300 4X4 was on the top of my list because of the following reasons:
Disc Brakes vs drum brakes. Disc brakes stay cooler and have better stopping power. if you get water in the drum brakes it can freeze and crack the drums.
Independent suspension vs solid axle. The AC has complete independent suspension and will give you a much smoother ride.
Fuel Capacity 4.75 vs 3.7 The AC carries an extra gallon of fuel. If you go one long rides like me then you love that extra fuel capacity.
3 Gear Ranges vs single. The Honda has a super low first gear but that is it. The AC gives you 3 complete gear ranges to get you into and out of the places you are going to.
2WD/4WD vs 4WD. Now this is a feature I like because the steering a lighter in 2wd than 4wd and when you don't need it you don't have to have it. It is there when you need it and with a slight modification to the AC you can have a front lock on 4WD.
In my opinion AC gives you a better equipped machine for the same dollars. In my opinion go with the AC thats what I did and you won't regret it.
Good luck!!!

I'm looking at these for my wife, 300 a/c and 350 rancher. I've ridden my bros 300 4x4 quite a lot, rock solid, no problems at all, not to big or heavy, went everywhere I pointed it, rides like a mack truck and steers like one too. I believe the a/c has much better ride and better options. Just my opinion but thats the way we see it.
