25" Tires - Does different brands have different size?
#1
My front Bear Claws have seen better days, and tonight I put on at used set of Carlisle Badlands XTR ( 60-70 % left)
Even though it is the same size as the one I replaced, 25x8-12, the Carlisle's are a bit larger in actual diameter than the rear 25x12,5-10 Bear Claws.
Would it be a problem for de drivetrain on my '99 500 Sportsman?

Not a problem at all. Typically a front tire is usually taller than the rears. In this case, it's just because of the change in brand. I've seen tires that are a full inch difference even though they have the same specs.

yeah tnt knut, i spend hundreds on these swamplites and they are OVER an inch and a half shorter than my BALD good years!!!!!!!!!!!!!. they are incredible in mud and snow don't get me wrong,i drove around in three feet of snow in two wheel drive with my awd scram and could not get stuck,(I TRIED) they are incredible! its just the height loss is why i'm sellin them, maybe the taller ones are correct,,,,,,gbc.com have the correct height for all there tires..

I.m running new 25 Mud lites XLs with the tall agressive lugs up front and still have the stock 40% worn out Goodyear "P trackers" on the back without a problem. The front tires just wore out much faster then the back.
Some tire manufacturers measure the O.D from the main body of the tire and other measure from the top of the lug.
