I Have a 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500 4X4 EBS, I was out riding and it was running fine, we went through a couple of mud holes and when I got back home everything was still ok, but the next day I went out to start it up when I pushed the start button nothing happened the battery is good all the power came on but it seems like something to do with the start button or something, could anybody inform me on what this could be? Thanks!!!!

 

take the button apart and clean the contacts that might have corrsion on it then put some dielectric grease on it if you have some.

first jump around the solenoid to be sure it is good.

 

i agree. the only reaon i didn't suggest it is he said when he hit the button, he got nothing, no click or anything like there was no contact.
