Well i finnally did it and just ordered the DMC full pipe. I also bought the White bros rev kit, K&N air filter, outerwear precharger, and a stage 2 jet kit. I was wondering if the needle the jet kit is good to use? they recommend putting the clip on the 3rd spot. Can anyone confirm this is the best? thanks hope i can really feel the difference between the stock and now my moddified quad.

Ok since this is done what should be the next thing that i should do to this quad? Thanks for the opinions guys.

I just put a full DMC on my 440 last week and I noticed a favorable difference.

First thing I noticed was that the motor seemed to rev faster. When I had the stock head pipe with a WB R-4 there was a little hesitation when I blurped the throttle. I also noticed that 4th and 5th gear pulled harder.

I running a 170 main jet with a 42 pilotjet. Pilot screw turned 3.75 out from seat, needle jets stock position, and it runs good. I do think I could go up a size or two on main jetting before it bogs.

does the size of the needle depend on were you put the clip? i am kinda new at this and i don't think the dynojet kit says what size needle it came with.

i have a 99 400ex with a full DMC pipe. installed a 155 keihin factory jet. great power gain from the factory head pipe and a RCR tail pipe. never changed the needle setting . pilot jet is still a factory setting. as for other mods the sky is the limmit , got a prm rear skid on order and already have a-arm skids from DG.

I've got a brand new dynojet kit never out of the box sitting at home. Most of the motor builders I talked with told me just buy Keihin jets at $4.00 ea. instead of that $60 kit. If all else is stock on your 400ex I would put a 155 or a 158 Keihin main jet and ride. I've also have a K&N w/outerwear maybe used 2 hrs.

After putting the DMC full exaust on my Warrior, I thought I was riding a different quad. It revs up much faster, had more bottom, mid and topend power, and the exhaust gave the engine had a better sound quality-louder.

I know that you are talking about the exhaust being on a 400EX, but I would recomend the DMC pipe to any one.
