Default Electrical glitch???

My speedo is running crazy. In any gear when the machine stopped, it bounces all over. It seemed to go back to 0 when in park but when you select any gear the speedo started jumping around. The machine also did die twice but once running it seemed ok except for the speedo when not moving. I did a search but I am looking for any suggestions.

In wasn't sure where to check. Obviously I can try and track the wires in the pod but I wasn't sure where the speed sensor was or how it worked. Also I didn't know which wires control that part of the pod. Any ideas where to start?? Also, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign of something major. I really don't care if I know my speed but I thought I would check if this could cause other issues....Is the odometer effected also??

not sure, buti do think it's on the front wheel so it reads the speed that way. just look for the wires(not the wires to the front hubs for the awd)going down to it. also the speedo does control the awd function. if it's just a sensor messing up the awd should work fine. imo

I think the AWD was working but I will double check. It just seems strange that all of a sudden when I started up it yesterday it was messed up. I hadn't even put it in gear yet??

I'll do some checking and report back.I appreciate the help from you or anyone else that may have had this issue that can help.
