Default More ground clearance

I have a 2005 Raptor 350. Looking at putting bigger tires on it to gain ground clearance. I'm guessing I'd have to put on a different sprocket. Has anyone had any luck doing this?

if you use bigger tires its gonna make you gear ratio higher, making it accelerate slower, plus the tire most likely being heavier wont help either, but yes if you were to go from say a 20 inch to a 22 it would be a good idea to maybe drop a tooth or 2 on the front sprocket to maintain your gear ratio.

22 is about as high as you'd want to go, with the stock 13 tooth front sproket would be perfect. maybe you should look into a good skid plate

If you go with 22" I would for sure drop a tooth on the front sprocket. I had a 400EX that had 22" tires. It was a much appreciated change when I dropped a tooth in front. Much less stalling and petering out at the top of hills.

And low power. I see what your saying though. Might be able to get away with it. Throw the 22s on and try it out. Can always change the sprocket later.
