Default Winch on a 300ex?

Got a real nice superwinch T2000 today for $20. I found a good place to mount it on my 300ex. Any reason I shouldn't put it on it? I've just never seen a sport quad with a winch, but they get stuck too.

Unless you are in deep mud.... get off and pull yourself out... If you are into jumps and hill climbs then i wouldn't bother putting the winch on... just added weight.... There may be more reasons not to... but then again.. there are reason why to do it..

Thanks for the input. I just trail ride and go through some pretty deep mud, sometimes alone, so I just like having the extra insurance. If jumps and hill climbs are the only things I'll be hindering, I'll take it.

I got it mounted, just waiting for the handlebar switch to hook it up. I even had my mom who sews make me a cover for it. It's hidden pretty well, and felt light enough that I don't think it will make much difference.

Nice clean job. Looks great. I think you'll be fine with the extra weight. I also think that sooner or later you'll get a utility Quad like a Recon or Rancer.
