Default 1999 yamaha beartracker problem

when i start the 4 wheeler, it has a hard time turning over, it has a new plug and battery. the fuel is on and choke. it runs for a little ideling, then cuts off. when i get it running good- while holding the throttle, i can ride it. when i start slowing down, it starts sputtering, and it sounds like its coming from the top of the motor, between the piston and spark plug. let me know what u think i should do. its either not geting gas, or enoguh air when i start slowing down
