Running ATV in AWD?
#3
Fronts won't spin on the newer ones until the rears get loose for 1/5 a turn so you're not going to hurt anything or burn much more gas. Personally, I don't have mine in awd until I'm going in to someplace I will need it. Old habits die hard!

Running it in AWD will make it harder to steer when the front end is engaged. May lose a little bit of gas mileage. You can shift in and out of 2wd and AWD on the fly if you want. Just don't shift between low and high on the fly. Not good for the transmission. The Polaris system only engages AWD when it senses a difference in speed between the rear and the front tires. The one thing I wouldn't do is jump in AWD.

Rule of thumb....as long as you use your right thumb to engage 4x4 it is impossible to dmamage anything because the wheels cnnot spin if you are not on the throttle.
