25mm mikuni carb idling real rough! help??

Default 25mm mikuni carb idling real rough! help??

i have a 06 baja 125 storm, wouldnt idle enless choke was on so i pulled the carb and cleaned real well, there was alot of sand in it, put it back together and got it to idle but it idles fast then slow and dies, take it out for a ride it does fine idles for a couple minutes after riding pretty good then dies, restart with no problems then idles real rough again, would appreciate some words of wisdom???

Try adjusting the fuel screw... it sounds lean so Id try turning it out 1/2 a turn at a time... if it gets worse go the other way... If you dont have a fuel filter on the quad you could have dirt in the carb again..

deffinetly was running lean, i did put a filter on when i cleaned the carb, i just bought this lil wheeler and the guy who owned it before deffintly messed this carb up, he damaged all the screws, im thinking he may have damaged the air/fuel mix screw and spring, the carb isnt real expensive so i fig its worth just replacing with good parts! thanks
