Unhappy 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO Instrument Cluster NOT WORKING!

I have a 2005 polaris sportsman 500 HO and I added the headlight modification to have all 3 lights on at once (simple jumper wire) i also reconnected the 12v cigarette lighter as that was unhooked. Went to put everything back together now intrusment cluster is inop (no speedo, no lights, no NOTHING). I unhooked my modification kit and my cigarette lighter and still NOTHING!. I tried unhooking the battery then hooking it back up that didnt work. I tested the wiring harness and i have power and a ground working rite up to the harness. SO i took the cluster into the dealership and it works fine. WHATS GOING ON??? anyone can help please do! I cannot find any fuses what so ever in that quad either there is no fuse box in the front storage under the rubber mat.

In the parts manual it shows two circuit breakers a 10amp and a 20amp. I have no idea if these run you instrument cluster or where you might find them to check and see if they are blown. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I didnt short the cluster out because the cluster still works ( we tested on another sportsman 500 HO) . Im completely stumpped what could have gone wrong seeing as the cluster works and im getting power and ground rite to the wiring harness??? There are no bent pins or anything not making contact either. IF this isnt the most puzzling i dont know what is :S:S Thanks for the Replies tho

try testing for power on the other quad and se if there is the same power coming into your harness through each pin like the other bike. just a thought.

sorry to dig up an old tread, but did you ever figure out what was the problem? Mine was randomly not working for a long time then all of a sudden one day it just stoped working. So im trying to figure out what the heck is wrong. Also when the cluster stoped working the AWD stoped working too. WTF!
