thanks. yah it just quit all of a sudden when i was driveing, I am pretty sure its not the key or kill cuz I got power when i turn the key, and it still turns over. but when i have the kill switch in the off position it will not crank over so i just asumed if it was a bad kill switch it wouldnt turn over at all. or do you think it still would.

well i figured a few things out last night, i can start it with the recoil and everything works fine. So what i did after i figured out i could use the pull start was unhooked the + starter wire then fired it up, once it was running i turned the key as if i was trying to start it, and nothing happened. i thought it would kill the engine when i did that. so that would mean my ignition is still good right? where should i go from here?
thanks alot for the help

Does the motor turn over with the electric start? Mine would not start with with the electric start turning the motor but would start with the pull cord. Turned out mud and crap got into the recoil through the rope hole and the Pluse coil next to the flywheel just needed cleaning.
The rope handle does a poor job of keeping stuff out of the recoil.

check to see if the bike has spark while starting w/ key switch and also by cranking it by hand(must have if it started) and if it turns the starter over but does not have any fire, check what he mentioned for issues. imo

If it starts by pulling the rope, thats good news, it means the expensive stuff is still working such as the Stator and CDI.
If your rope looks wet and dirty, chances are you had lots of crap getting in there.
