Default West Va Trip-Pics

So got back safe and sound from out trip to West Va this weekend. Had a blast. Rode alot of really rocky trails, it beat the living hell out of my a** and back, but the PS worked great and saved my shoulders.

Got stuck 3 times. Once was really soupy kind of mud, the other two times i didnt have enough ground clearence. The zillas once again impressed me highly. Got just over 200 miles on the 850 now. Just need to clean it and grease it up.

Went deep several times, too deep. way to deep. the belt got wet twice and had to dry it out. if i ride more of that i might need to look into the stealth snorkel kit.

Now to the pics:

Wow, that is nasty. Did that gas can in the rear take on any water? Looks like it may have been under a couple of times.

I ran my 850 under once last year to the point of flooding the transmission. Was not a good situation...Took hours to recover and clean the housing and belt. I'm relatively careful now about going too deep. There's a fine line between lots of fun and a huge bill. -A friend of mine buried his brand new 850 last fall and it cost nearly 5 grand to rebuilt it. Engine was a total loss. He took water, rocks and clay into the cylinders. He just went a tad too far and man did it cost him. I've been so close at times....stupid $hit.....and I tell myself I know better. Snorkels seem mandatory if you're gunna play the deep water/mud game. I'm gunna run on the drier side of the trail this season.
