!atv theft!

I live in a small town in the country and on my way home from work 12 at night I seen a atv that look like my buds on the skidoo paths so (only 2 of us have ranchers in this area so I figure it was my bud) so I threw on my gear and followed the path. I caught up to the atv and sure enough it had my buds toe rope wrapped around the back racks and his kit bag on the back. When I got closer I flicked my lights and for some reason he sped at, I also notice it didnt look like my friend so I "chased" the guy pulled up beside him kinda cut in front of him. the guy could not figure out the reverse and when I was asking him what was going on he. tackled me. I hit him once with my helmet and he took off towards a car following along the trail by the road. I called by bud on my cell phone and lets just say he was very happy and now locks it in the barn.

my main goal was to keep both atvs near me, I took the shovel I have (http://burnt.poptart.net) off incase they decided to come back. I have a good idea who they where. And basically the next time where out drinking we might pay them a visit

About time one of those *******s was stopped. If it is a small town I bet you know whop they are usually your friends or friends of theirs that know where your stuff is. I installed a body shop clevis in my garage slab and lock my 400 down with a Kryptonite cable lock. Cable is much harder to cut than chain because it is fiberous and mushes out. Guess I should lock my back garage but with my disgruntled 100 lb. German Shepherd no body bothers it. The big city can be a dangerous place. I even lock my bike on the trailer or the truck. When camping over night.

I congradulate you on your victory against an a##hole!Although evn if you know who it stay away from him.Mine was stole last summer and I recovered it left in the road.I too knew who took it and even though I called the police they said to be happy to have gotten it back.So then I decide to confront him one day when he was riding on the road around my house. His 250x was hardly a match for a shee.Within 30 minutes the police arrived and issued me a citation for harassment. So your best bet is to lock it up and hope he get's his someday.
