I an getting ready to adjust the valves on my recon for the first tine. I was wondering if the head gasket would need replacing, I don't know if it will come off without tearing. Does anyone know where I can get one besides the dealer, they want 17 bucks for one gasket.

The "head gasket" will not need to come off, I think your refering to the valve cover gasket? It is a metel gasket and wont come apart or need to be replaced. I have had mine off about 5 times now, and am still using the same one.

I don't know what I was thinking it's been a long day I did mean valve cover gasket, on your recon you have a trailer hitch how much did it run you and where did you get it.
