I went to start my atv up would not start so I pulled started it pull start got stuck. all of a sudden started makeing a bunch of noise I looked at the pull start casing falling apart what is the problem how do I fix this?

 

Take it apart, fixed the internal problem that caused the hole, then use "liquid Metal / JB Weld" to fix the hole, or get a cheep used cover off of EBAY.

 

almost look like something broke inside then when you pull started it it wedged it self in there resulting in it poping a hole. just a guess. but take floor board off and remove the 8mm bolts and take a look. make shure its sealed when your done as there are electronic parts in there. i took a cover off of one and there was alota rust in there. not a good thing.
