Default Suggestions on noise from CVT area on Sportsman XP?

My belt went bye bye on my last 650 atv trip. I replaced it with a new OEM belt when I got home. After putting it all back together I heard a banging sound coming from the cover at higher rpms. I took it off again and found a small piece of rubber in side the cover. I cleaned it up, ran it with the cover off and then put everything back together. I just took it out again today and heard more banging sounds coming from the same area. Again only at higher rpms both in neutral and in gears.

I took the cover off again but this time I did not see any pieces of belt inside. I put the frame piece back on and the tire & took it out for a mile run this time without the CVT cover on. I did hear the a bang 2 more times but now it seams to be gone. I am going to take it out again tonight before bed.

Any suggestions on what else it may be? Everything else seams ok. No play in the CVT system. I am guessing there were rubber pieces hidden in the system but am not 100% sure?

Looks like I may have found the issue. When the belt blew it shot pieces into the vent. When I blew the vent out it was filled with small rubber pieces and twine from the belt.

if it happens to happen again pull up lightly on the clutch cover from the bottom or push down from the top.when i got the scram it did that, had to readjust the cover.
