i recently found out what my exhaust is on my 88 yamaha warrior is, its a skyway cobra, any good??? its loud and sounds pretty good to my ears. but to i took it off and rode it and it runs better. what could be going on with it? is the exhaust just crap? or is something wrong with it??? oh and a buddie of mine has a big gun slip on exhaust that came off of a honda 250 2 stroke. im sort of interested in it. but i like loud exhausts. does anyone know how the big gun sounds??? anything helps tanks!=)

 

if its a cobra its crap. 2 stroke exhausts dont belong on a 4 stroke. get yourself a good used hmf, fmf or yosh. also id make sure you atleast have a 147.5 main jet in

 

im runnig a 137 jet in it for the alititude im at, its running great but i just wanted to know if my pipe was good or not.. does that certain pipe restrict power? can i get just a slip on pipe that will give me more power??

 

i mean its better than stock but the quality on the pipe just isnt there

 

Yea cobras are poopy mine had one when i bought it and the difference with going from the cobra to the hmf was huge, sound and power was wayyyyyyyy better, the cobra pipe design is just horrible its like a bell bottom coffee can with an end cap, honestly anything is better then the Cobra and DG pipes for warriors, you can get an HMF for like 200 or so brand new, back when i bought mine it came in a little kit for the Pipe,Jet,clamp,spark arrestor, stickers for like 240 something shipped.
