Default 97 warrior no spark

someone brought this bike to me as is they replaced the stator and has not ran since i looked it over 3 times i got probably 12 hours in this thing then i noticed after cutting the new stator harness open that the pick up coil wires were run to the voltage regulator and the stator to the cdi i fixed the wires by switching the connectors around to the correct way the fuuny thing is that there 3 seperate connectors to be foolproof but the new stator and harness was simply wired incorectly from the manufacturer i had never given it another thought because ther foolproof right? anyways im afraid my customer burnt out three cdi in the process since there is no way of testing cdi accept that i did find a burnt or impassible pathway on all 3 cdi the original and both aftermarket so im at witts end need help please

i was trying to adapt a harness to a new model and wired it backwards and fried the cdi because the wire colors were not the same. needless to say a new cdi and i was running.
