I have a 2001 polaris sportsman 500 ho pull start broke along with casing =, I looked on ebay no luck finding one where can I get one?

 

looks like they only used that assembly on the 00-01' 500 model as well. make if some one knows of a atv junk yard if ebay can't help.

 

I am surprised. I had a 01 and now have an 04 and I thought they were the same. I checked Bike bandit.com and sure enough they are different part number. Not a cheap part to replace. Sorry about your luck. Keep the water out as much as possible. There are many threads on this forum that talk about water infultration and how to prevent water from getting into the recoil and starter.
Bike bandit has been good to me when ordering parts. Better than the stealer.
