05 Wolverine Charging problem?
#1
I'm mechanical but never had one of these. There is a 12 volt battery under the seat. Very low on water, could easily see the cells, so I topped them off with acid. Tried charging it slow overnight but I guess it's too far gone.
I'll pick up a battery tomorrow but .... here's my question ....
What charges this battery? There is no increase in voltage at the battery while the engine is running (easily starts with the pull cord). My voltmeter only reads 4.5 volts. There is a 30amp fuse near the battery which I replaced because there was none.
I am waiting for the owners manual and shop book but am trying to get a start on fixing this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Figured it out, the charging system is working. While the engine was running I disconnected the battery, it kept running, so I know the problem is just the battery.
So thank you for reading this anyway.
Now if I can only figure out how to ........
