Default middle drive flange bolt keeps loosening

i found oil leaking out at transfer case flange area. i removed u-joint and found that the nut was loose. i replaced seal, nut and washer. i torqued new locknut nad reassembled with u-joint. i then found after riding for about 2 hours that the nnut loosened up again and oil was leaking out. i had to tap nut snug to get out of woods. is this a common problem? the only other thing i can think of is to apply locktite to it but think it will do it again.

Use the red loctite and make sure and put enough on to leave a visible sign it's there... that way you don't spend another time wondering why you can't get the nut and bolt off.... The red stuff is a higher temp loctite and does require some significant heat to make it release without too much trouble. If that doesn't work, then it looks like time to call a priest.... Exorcism coming soon..... or maybe it's gremlins....

I agree go with the red lock tite and it should solve the problem!
