I'm looking to buy my first atv its a 04 polaris sportsman 700. The part that concerns me is that is has 5000 miles on it. The current owner is the 2nd owner he replaced the brake pads rear gear box and the wheel bearings. Do to health issues that came up he's never got a chance to ride it except on his acre lot. Anyways any tips on what I should look for mechanically. Any advice is much appreciated.

 

watch out those 700's like to chew thru crankshafts

 

welcome to the forum. i havent read anything amount any crank issues(but that doenst prove anything) and if the maintance has been done the milage wouldnt be a big issue. some did have carb boot issues cracking and making then run crappy. imo
