2005 kawasaki prairie 360 won't start
#1
I bought this quad brand new and have made many mods to it. I have work on everything that has been a problem, but the problem it has now, has me stumped. It had sat for a while during the summer months because it was too hot to ride. I get it out this weekend and find out that it will not crank. I check all of the things you normally check when this would happen and nothing works. You turn the key and the indicator light flash, you push the green button to get it to start, and it doesn't make a noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have power to lights? if so then check transmission switches, see if rats have chewed on wires from solenold, etc.Take an curcuit light tester see if got signal from button to solenold, solenold to starter.

check voltage of battery standing
check voltage of battery under a load (load test)
check fuse on positive side of battery if applicable
check for fuel in carb
check for fuel in cylinder (wet spark plug)
check for spark
check neutral switch or parking switch on transmission or shifter, wherever it's located.
you can, turn key to the "on" position, jump the solenoid with a screwdriver from post to post and see what that does.
report back to us on your findings.
just trying to cover all of the bases and fish for more information from you.

What's the battery voltage?
If it is 12.6 or higher (that's good) and still doesn't crank, you might have a bad ground. Follow the black wire from the starter solenoid under the seat and see where it is attached to the engine/frame. Check to make sure that ground connection is good.
